We have been keeping an eye on the situation developing on X and, following a growing list of concerning changes and developments that do not align with our values, feel it is time to take a step away from the site. We will be deactivating our accounts by the end of the week.
Your newly elected IGA Chair here with a few words to say. This past week (13th – 19th) was Trans Awareness Week and Trans Day of Remembrance is here, November 20th. I think it’s obvious to say that we are seeing an increase in intolerance and hate in the world.
We firmly stand by this policy and will not tolerate any hate or discrimination at any of our events. If you are interested in gaming, usually of the board-type variety, our community is open to you.
You do not need to have experience, you do not need to own 20+ different sets of dice (they call to me), and you do not need to have played in any RPG to be a part of our community.
The gaming community is built from diversity, with people from all backgrounds contributing to this hobby we share. The IGA wouldn’t be where it is without the contributions of countless volunteers, many of whom are in the LGBTQ+ community.
Between the US being what it is, the UK putting laws into place that negatively impact all of our sisters, and intolerance rearing its ugly head elsewhere, there is no room for silence.

Important: The LARP schedule is now available. If we were allowed to create links on this hellsite, I'd send you to it - but it's on https://t.co/FH0Xg6px0I under Gaelcon 37 > Roleplaying and LARPs.
