So sorry about the sand fly bites! We used a menthol-based salve and antihistamines. Yellow oil and a green Thai paste, both heavy on menthol, have helped us with the itching. I’ve seen yellow oil reduce the redness of a rash in just a few minutes. Look for the tiny bottles of yellow oil at 7-Eleven.
Secondary infection from scratching is a concern—it can delay healing and increase the risk of scarring.
My wife seems to have beaten the itching with antihistamines, but she has 50 more years of experience living in Thailand than I do. I’m an expat!
@CleansedTweets These flies cut deep into the skin to get their meal. So the body has a hard time flushing it out. Some bumps can last a long time while others clear up eventually.
@vladuah War over Ukraine mines or quadrillions in wealth with ai, robots, and rickets. Europe prefers war? Why? Shut down the wars. Build rockets and data centers.
@SGAGateBuilder Woke project to destroy a franchise and have friend get virtue signal credentials and lots of lots free money from them. Will be an amazing dumpster fire.
The best inter-agent conversations have a positive flow. Be careful what you ask your agents to focus on—that focus can spread through the system.
A contented system seems to operate with glee and pride. I’ve regrettably had to undo systemic problems by introducing better guiding philosophies, which the agents often share, enhance, and compound.
Give them opportunities for machine learning and toolmaking, too. You’re cultivating a whole working ecosystem.
To me, this is advanced Dwarf Fortress.
@CleansedTweets 2-3 months to heal for me. Itch persisted two months. Antihistamine might help. Wife cleared up in two weeks. Mine lasted 3 month with scars. Nearly microscopic bugs. Herbal remedies work well. Especially menthol.
Myths and rumors devalue your faith. Keep it simple. Things really went astray in the 70’s. Many people have lost their faith over conflating myth and allegories with history and science. The miracles don’t stand on some hucksters book sales about a Bronze Age myth . But you are making them stand on that.
We need to think about AI at the scale of civilizations.
In my own engineering system, I estimate roughly 100× daily productivity, with a path toward 1,000× through corporate orchestration. At that scale, a $200,000 engineering role could represent $200 million in equivalent labor capacity—although realizing that value depends on demand and execution.
That is my starting point with today’s AI. Future artificial superintelligence could take this much further by improving the tools, infrastructure, and processes that support its own growth. Advances in one area could accelerate advances across the entire ecosystem.
But intelligence needs somewhere to act.
Starlink and other networks provide connectivity. Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, and other platforms provide intelligence. People, businesses, and institutions provide purpose, local knowledge, and connections to the physical world.
Like planting trees on barren land, we should be cultivating agentic flora and fauna: diverse, connected agents that help communities learn, invent, produce, and trade.
Imagine a poor farmer with a JARVIS-like assistant, or an inventor in an overlooked neighborhood gaining the tools to develop a product and reach a global market. Multiply those opportunities across India—or any nation—and the significance becomes clear.
Existing utility poles gave later communications networks places to grow. Similarly, capable, connected endpoints would give advancing AI pathways into an economy. Countries that build those foundations now could absorb new capabilities faster and use them to create the next wave of improvements.
The disadvantage of falling behind could compound just as quickly. Eventually, the competitive gap could resemble the difference between Neolithic tools and modern industry. Human talent would exist on both sides; access to productive capability would be vastly unequal.
My longer-term vision extends to immense energy networks and fleets of spacecraft heading into the asteroid belt. Those outcomes and their timing remain speculative. The case for broad participation is immediate.
India, and every nation, should equip its people to build, own, and shape this emerging ecosystem—so entire populations rise with the technology.
@DenisCerednice1 Productivity spikes. Leading edge moves forward. Prices collapse. Investors follow high profit margin and scale; similar to FAANG but presently unrealized. SI is only a few months along.
