At the last referendum this rule was in place and just 0.8% ballots were considered informal and just a small portion of that number were because of ✅ and ❌. IT IS NOT AN ISSUE.
You are asked a yes or no question. Write yes or no. It’s not an issue. It has never been an issue

It’s been that ways for six referendums. Attempts to spin it as ‘rigging’ or ‘stealing’ the referendum are fk’d

You haven’t been able to put crosses on a referendum paper and have that ballot counted since 1988! This is not a new. It has not been put in place for the voice referendum. It’s because ❌ are ambiguous - some people use them to mark yes. Some no.
