@MBDscience I thought it was bad enough that my trainee was in sixth form during lock down 1!!

@FixingEducation I'd just take 1. tbh

I have spent 3 hours today on pastoral emails, parental emails and admin tasks.
This is unsustainable!

@HanDoesPhysics @adam_voigt This! I have a challenging Y10 group this year and physically don't have the time on some days to do anything other than my 5 lessons and the bare minimum PPA. They aren't even getting a consistent behaviour policy from me, never mind school wide

@damechatprrr @UnofficialOA SENDCO is so so difficult.
I have nothing practical to impart.
But I feel all SEND departments are in the same boat.
There's been a huge increase in need, without a huge increase in support.

For the first time in a long time we have a Physics trainee in our science department.
I've asked her about specific A-Level topics she feels she might want extra help with.
She's not replied yet.
Are there any particular topics ECT's or new A-Level teachers struggle with?

🍁Astronomical autumn has officially begun in the Northern Hemisphere. At 01:06 BST, the September equinox occurred as the Sun crossed the celestial equator moving south. On this day, the Sun rises directly in the east and sets in the west, giving us equal day and night lengths.

@Mr_H1978 We brought the Yonder pouches in at Easter last year. It's been genuinely transformative!

@staffdb66 Week A I'm on 18/25 (good I know), but I also single handed run our weekly STEM club, have CPD/meetings every Monday and detention duty/revision sessions 75% of Thursdays.

I'm 8 years in, I'm struggling Tbf

[Gain The Marks Physics @GainTheMarksPhy]

@staffdb66 OMG this!
I've been very fortunate the last few cohorts that they are studying A-Level Maths also.... But even so when we do Mechanics I have to start trig from zero

@FixingEducation The kids.
Honestly, I know it sounds cheesy, but for me personally it's the truth

@lehain @MBDscience That's literally the facial expression I did reading OP 🤣🤣

@AmbJapanUK @joanneeahmed Did not realise there was a specific day, but Manchester is blessed by both your presence and the amount of amazing Japanese food we have in the city

@s8n This! I'm a science teacher trying to teach kids grams and kilograms. Their brains are set to "cups" for some reason.
Where has this cups measurement come from?
