@NewsLambert Yet the consensus is that the fed will raise rates.
Comical delusion going on. If anything Fannie is being nice. Rates will be much lower by Q27. I think around 5.8%
Congress should be forced to retire at 70. Salaries should be $60K, the average American salary. They should pay a minimum of $300/month for healthcare with a $1,000 deductible, like we do.
To represent us, they should live like us.
I find it very comical when I read post like this.
What do you think we can do about it?
We can’t vote against it.
The government is bought and paid for.
The only way to stop things from getting worse is to show collective strength against the people pushing this stuff.
But Americans are too fat and happy to do anything about anything.
When you’re 40 trillion in debt just cutting spending does nothing to get out of debt. You would just stop increasing the debt. You’d have 40 trillion in debt still.
2 ways to fix it.
Do as Bessent said.
Or raise rates like crazy, increase income tax like crazy and go through a 10 year austerity period.
Trumps first term was a crazy ride. 3 different times the market went down 10%+ but ended the 4 years 71% higher.
Trump 2 is on pace for the same returns and corrections. there is more volatility this time around but the game stays the same.
why am I sharing this? For the rate hike crowd.
More than likely we are not getting a rate hike, AND if we do, the market is going to have a bad reaction then return to business as usual.
Momentum is up. Don't fight it.
In Trump’s first term, the S&P 500 gained a total of about 73% in 4 years.
That was filled with lots of swings up and down.
In his current term, we are 2 years in with about 39% gains so far. On track for 73% by year 4.
That would put the S&P 500 at around 9,600.
1929 would be exactly 100 years from when the next president of the United States would be sworn in.
September 1929 is when the Great Depression happened.
AOC will be the next president. Madam President will be our first socialist president.
After the 1928 presidential election, the market went up 45% before the eventual top in September 1929.
It’s very possible Trump hands off the roaring stock market at around 9,600 to AOC, and her socialist spending habits cause a temporary vertical blow-off top into May–August 2029.
If not, Trump hands it off to AOC and history takes the wheel.
And if you’re curious, the bottom would be around 1,600 on the S&P 500.
