External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar delivers a sharp response to European criticism of India's Russia policy:
"No European country has been attacked with Indian weapons. I wish I could say that for European weapons vis--vis India."
When pressed, he added:
"Europeans sell weapons which are used to attack India. We Indians have never done anything to endanger Europe."
A straightforward reminder that India's security concerns don't always align with Europe's geopolitical priorities.
Statement by UAE based IOS Marine that operates MT Settebello, the vessel that was hit by US

India has summoned the US Chargé d’Affaires (CdA), Jason Meeks, in New Delhi twice within a few days to register a "strong protest" over US Navy strikes in West Asia that resulted in the deaths and endangerment of Indian seafarers
How did the New York caste bill quietly die this legislative session? And why didn't HAF sound the alarm every step of the way?
Because HAF was busy doing the work. Effective advocacy isn't always loud. While public campaigns have their place, reactive social media posts and mass action alerts can sometimes energize opponents or turn legislators into performers rather than partners. HAF chose discernment over spectacle, a strategy that recently helped make New York the sixth state where efforts to add caste as a category in non-discrimination laws have been successfully opposed.
That work looked like HAF attorneys developing constitutional arguments, policy experts tracking legislation around the clock, and countless face-to-face meetings with lawmakers and staff. It meant asking difficult questions, publishing op-eds and legal analyses, and building relationships that extend beyond any single bill.
The work isn't over. Well-funded efforts continue, which is why HAF's advocacy continues too. If you value thoughtful, effective representation for Hindu Americans, invest in the work that makes outcomes like this possible. To donate, visit https://t.co/2pAyrKXHoL

#WATCH | EAM Dr S Jaishankar participated in a panel discussion at Kultaranta Talks with Finland FM Elina Valtonen, and Assistant FM of UAE, Lana Nusseibeh on 'Emerging Powers and the New Geopolitical Competition'
He says, "I buy oil based on cost and availability. So at that point of time, ah much of the oil available on the market was Russia because Europeans were essentially buying up the Middle East oil, which was our traditional supply. So circumstances pushed us in a certain direction but since you spoke about moral ambiguity, I would say this, no European country has been attacked with Indian weapons. I wish I could say that for European weapons vis-a-vis India. So keep that in mind..."
