● Bahraini air defences intercepted Iranian drones over Hamad Town and Manama. Debris struck homes and vehicles, injuring an 11 year-old girl, according to the Interior Ministry.

● Iran launched heavy waves of missiles and attack drones targeting Ali Al Salem and Ahmad Al-Jaber airbases in Kuwait, which host key US military detachments.

● India confirmed that three Indian sailors were killed in yesterday’s US strike on a tanker in the Gulf of Oman. The vessel had been accused of violating the naval blockade.

● The Indian-crewed tanker MT Jalveer suffered damage near Oman. All 20 Indian nationals onboard are reported safe.

● Iran’s Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) announced the complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Holders of existing transit permits have been asked to wait until further notice.

● As of today, CENTCOM has disabled 9 non-compliant vessels, redirected 135 ships that complied, and allowed 42 vessels supporting humanitarian aid to pass.

Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai has been appointed as the new Military Advisor to the National Security Council Secretariat. He is the first serving officer to have been appointed for the post.

He was the Director General of Military Operations during Operation Sindoor last year.
