Many FF7 fans have fan theory'd themselves into a wall by thinking that their "Re-Trilogy is a sequel" theory is fact when it hasn't been confirmed outright by Remake and Rebirth. Literally any FF game is a good starting point, and that's one of the largest appeals of FF
