33 Years…

That’s longer than I thought I’d ever make it. To have walked this earth for over 3 decades and have multiple chances at life, sometimes I wonder why I’ve been given so many chances.

I was horrible in school. I was considered a “class clown” because I couldn’t shut up sometimes and most classes were pointless to me (math and science) so i just scraped by. I did the same thing my first year of college and ended up joining the Army because I couldnt see a future for myself.

After 10 years and 1 deployment overseas, I struggled with addiction and wanted to die many times because i felt i had been dropped back into a life that was no longer mine. I finally went to treatment in January 2019 and I have been clean from my substance of abuse for 7 years.

Even with my new found clarity I had no idea yet again what to do with my life. It wasn’t until May 2020 when i brought my iPhone to Minneapolis in which i believe was the prelude to the revolution against our system of destruction, genocide, forever wars, elite pedophile’s, corruption, greed, and an unresolved history of oppression to our native, black and brown, brothers and sisters.

I understand it now more than ever. I want to appreciate everyone that supports Mercado Media and my work in independent journalism. If you’re with me, we’re in it until the very end. No matter the outcome.
