One thing that I have been seeing a lot in not just the Bananza community but also in other speedrunning communities, is chats and sometimes even runners belittling others during other runners’ accomplishments

Just weird comments like ‘oh x just beat you haha get destroyed’ or ‘x is washed up/falling behind’ etc. Seeing multiple comments like this during my recent WRs just being straight up mean to other runners who have also been working incredibly hard and we shouldn’t tolerate it

As a community we should be able to celebrate people’s success while also motivating others to keep improving and grinding rather than putting extra pressure on them and burning them out…

Either way, I don’t want a few bad apples in the community take away from how amazing the start of Bananza has been so far, especially with how fun the recent competition has been, I would just hate to see chats turning toxic to other chats/runners, let’s keep it positive ❤️
