Just a gentle reminder to fill in our survey! It's short, completely anonymous, and a temperature gauge to see how/if we'll keep the GBC going. Thanks a million! https://t.co/LhyEICVuD8

Another survey! We promise, this one's really short, totally anonymous & just for us, to figure out next steps for our community. So thanks for taking a few minutes to fill it out. Your feedback is very important.

Hello, Galway Buskers! I hope ye are all well. As you may or may not know, April 25th is our 5 year (!) anniversary as an organised community. I thought it would be nice to have a big AGM and then a party afterwards, what do you think? #galwaybuskers #meetup #anniversary #party

[Galway Buskers @GalwayBuskers]

@GalwayCityCo can we get some clarity on busking? We are definitely outdoor workers and can maintain social distancing. No official statement yet and we need to get back to doing what we do best. #supportgalwaybuskers #supportarts #theartsareessential

[Galway Buskers @GalwayBuskers]

When can we busk again? Getting contradictory answers and no official stance from govt. Busking is a job and buskers are outdoor workers. #supportarts #bringbackbusking #supportgalwaybuskers

Our virtual Galway Buskers Community meeting will begin in a few minutes! Hope to see ye there! Join Zoom Meeting

@GalwayCityCo @IrishPlanInst Is there a link to the strategy? Our community would love to see the plans. #supportgalwaybuskers

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Community wardens are about and are warning Buskers that they will begin responding to complaints and issuing 75€ spot fines in a couple of weeks. #supportgalwaybuskers #nobuskingbyelaws #nothingaboutuswithoutus

We know we’ve been quiet of late, but do not think this is because we have given up-far from it. We have many plans and initiatives coming in the near future so stay tuned and as always, thank you for your amazing support!

@FeyMoogle @GalwayArtsCentr @FlirtFMArts @niallotuathail @paulinegalway @Bolshevik78 @niall_mcnelis @littlejohnnee @ogradyemma #galwaywestncfa @GalwayBuskers representative brings the point that A Social welfare does not know how to deal with artists and that Galway is experiencing and the exodus of buskers because of the by-laws.

Some of these rate payers claim that Buskers are ruining their business. We contend that it is in no small part due to Galway’s famed Buskers that they have any business at all. #supportgalwaybuskers #nobuskingbyelaws #nothingaboutuswithoutus

[Galway Buskers @GalwayBuskers]

Please understand that these ‘problem Buskers’ mentioned by the council (at the behest of some more powerful ‘rate payers’) are not violent, nor are they engaging in illegal activity. They are doing nothing more than performing their art in ways some ‘rate payers’ don’t like.
