@pleaslucian @ProfHall1955 By your own definition, private firms controlling industry for profit (not the state) is capitalism. That’s how China’s game, tech, and consumer sectors actually run. Go check the venture capital firms here sometime.

@pleaslucian @ProfHall1955 Living here for 15+ years. Just came back from the malls, that are packed with goods made thanks to capital. I think you haven't been working at a business here, so I can understand why you wouldn't get this. But it's been here since the 70s.

@angeloinchina Chinese do medical tourism as well like going to America and other countries for cancer treatments as well. Know a few that do it and make good money here from it.

Wray flagged them in 2018 for influence ops, Congress tied them to United Front pressure and academic freedom issues, NDAA funding bans drove most closures 2019–2023, and State designated the U.S. center a foreign mission in 2020 for propaganda. Lack of criminal cases ≠ nothing was wrong.
