Ganondorf and his minions are the star of the show in this official, action-packed Japanese commercial (with added English subtitles) for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on Nintendo Switch 2. ⚔️

It seems Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on Switch 2 will include a variety of special modes, like Tennis with a supersized tennis ball and Bowling with 100 pins to clear! 🎳

Wii Sports' Tennis, Bowling, Boxing and Golf all make their grand return in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on Switch 2, plus more new and returning modes.

Similar to Wii Sports, you'll be able to use motion-based controls to play them.

The game's releasing on Oct 22nd. 🏓

In Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave on Switch 2, it's possible to skip straight to the final campaign by taking the Door of Destiny near the start of the game.

This results in some rather desperate pleas from Fortuna, as Eshmel must face the Underworld Gatekeeper with only 2 allies.

And here's a direct comparison between the old and new official Super Mario Bros. renders from Nintendo.

You can see quite a jump (pun intended!) between the old key artwork and the new graphics for the Switch 2 era.

The official new Super Mario Bros. renders from Nintendo show a marked improvement in model quality, textures and lighting compared with their old renders from as far back as 2004.

Note that the new renders are actually flipped, hence the backwards "L" here on new Luigi's hat.

A Metal Gear Solid successor game made by Mr. Kojima is very exciting news indeed.

I think PHYSINT is one of the industry's most promising titles in development and I have no doubt the end result will be superb.

Normally, we would not comment on unsubstantiated speculation on the internet, but these aspersions around our relationship with PlayStation, the commercial performance of the DEATH STRANDING franchise, and the broader production planning and investment for PHYSINT, have reached beyond the studio and have touched our fans, our creative partners, and colleagues we have worked alongside with for three decades.

None of the claims written came from any official or on-the-record source and as such we encourage you to take them with a dose of scepticism.

Make no mistake, this was a serious situation for the studio with a range of potentially significant implications. While we recognise that the article may have caused alarm, we want to reassure you all, for the record: that the studio is in a healthy, profitable state, development for PHYSINT continues to move forward with XBOX, and our relationship with PlayStation remains strong.

The true intro cutscene to Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave on Switch 2 is really quite magnificent.

Ganondorf's introductory final boss cutscene from Zelda: Ocarina of Time is absolutely iconic (he personally plays his signature theme tune in the scene) and helped cement his status as one of the greatest villains in gaming.

Excited to see the Switch 2 version!

Whilst it's perhaps not the most highly rated Mario Kart game, it's nonetheless a pity to lose Tour - an important piece of the Mario Kart series' history - when the game's servers are taken offline after September 30th.

Fans hope for an offline mode, similar to Pocket Camp.

Mario Kart Tour launched on September 15th, 2019.

At the time of its closure later this month, the game's online service will have run for just over 7 years.

That's about a year longer than Mario Kart Wii's online (April 2008 to May 2014) and roughly on par with AC Pocket Camp.
