@keithlaw@HeyItsTy3@AsmadiGames@425suzanne Again, you’re saying I’m wrong but not why. Meanwhile I’ve stated many reasons why it was and none of those reasons have been acknowledged. Pretty pointless to continue this thread at this point.
@keithlaw@HeyItsTy3@AsmadiGames@425suzanne So because white people have done bad things in the past, you can be racist against them now. Real moral high ground there. Watch the dumb you too video. What can it hurt to gain a little more insight on the subject?
@keithlaw@HeyItsTy3@AsmadiGames@425suzanne Nobody has explained why I’m wrong. People are just saying I’m wrong. Replace the word “white” with any other race and tell me why it wouldn’t be racist. The only way I could be wrong is if you can’t be racist to white people - which I firmly disagree with.
@425suzanne@keithlaw@HeyItsTy3@AsmadiGames This is only true if you believe you can’t be racist to white people. I disagree with that, but I think he does a better job of making my point so I’ll just end with linking to this: https://t.co/rMm59BWZ4b
@keithlaw@HeyItsTy3@AsmadiGames@425suzanne Standing up against racist remarks is NOT an inane fight. I don’t need nor care about attention. Especially the kind twitter delivers when you decent from the approved talking points. But someone needs to call this kind of behavior out or it just keeps getting worse.
@HeyItsTy3@AsmadiGames@keithlaw@425suzanne So you’re ok with this revised statement as long as the word all is in there.
Look, I’m simply saying identifying people by their race, especially in a negative context, is problematic. If you disagree with that… well then yeah, you do you.
@AsmadiGames@keithlaw@425suzanne She wasn’t asking for a diversity of perspective, I already said that would have been fine. To see the hate, I’ll quote, “…it remains a huge turn off to me when a campaign has multiple previewers and they're all Asian Women.” I changed the race and gender. Still nothing wrong?
@ThatPolishGuy84@425suzanne You took it personally because it was a racist and sexier comment. Full stop.
She could have said, “I’m not interested in a game with previewers without a diverse perspective.” But she didn’t, she took it directly to race and sex, and that’s wrong.
@425suzanne To add… this is my real name and I’ve been part of the DTN for six years. And I truly believe that these kinds of racist comments are as horrible as white people have been in the past. YOU need to be better and just doing the same things is NOT ok.
@425suzanne Raciest and sexist all in one comment. Oops, sorry, forgot that calling white men out as lessor is ok.
I, as a white man, will still take offense to any kind of racism regardless of who it is directed at. Check your privilege please https://t.co/8C80Eew7Bj.
@SmartGuyInATie @gamesandbourbon Saying AI art is plagiarized is like saying an author that writes a sci fi book after reading a sci fi books is plagiarizing. Learning from something is not plagiary. There are many reasons to be against AI - we should site valid ones.
@gamesandbourbon Could be that if you were to have a different opinion than “AI BAD” - you’d be kicked from the platform or ridiculed by the very vocal minority and it’s easier to just not say anything.
@WatchItPlayed But by that litmus test, every artist, all of which have been trained on thousands of pieces of art they didn’t have express permission to learn from, are as guilty. These models don’t use the art they are trained on to generate new art. They simply learn what art looks like.
@WatchItPlayed New tech has the potential of putting someone out of work. Photoshop nearly eliminated classic medium art for commercial use. Now it’s an industry standard tool. AI art is new, and therefore requires a new understanding. But a blanket “never AI art” stance isn’t the answer.
