PS I’ve been such a poor nostalgia passenger of late, I’ve had a lot of stuff on and have fallen of the bus 😜 I did get back on today to listen to the New Avengers special. The Avengers was my late dad’s Dr Who I guess and I have fond memories of watching reruns together.

@who_rod @whatsinthebox24 I’m so late to the party. I’ve just realised who the dad of my favourite character in a very peculiar practice is. None other than the 2nd dr himself. Patric Troughton. I’m so invested in the characters in this 40 year old tv show. That shows how great the writing is.

If anyone fancy’s a bit of the 1980’s. Something perhaps less well watched or less celebrated is A Very Peculiar Practice, currently on IPlayer. This feels that bit more special as I’ve never heard of it before. And it’s got Peter Davidson in. @who_rod @whatsinthebox24

@who_rod @whatsinthebox24 I’m in love with the sets/locations. It takes me back in time to a world now long gone. The cars/mac jackets/architecture. Smack in the middle of the 80’s. Yum. It’s so well written. The scripts are witty and smart. I hope this was well received 40 years ago. Should have been👌.

@who_rod @whatsinthebox24 I’m so glad it’s not just me who thinks so. I love robert(bob)’s character such a smarmy piece of 💩 I can’t quite put my finger on it but the show has a very strange feel to it. It’s socially hyper aware and the characters are all so very believable despite being over the top.
