@elliemidds I usually had meltdowns in school and they would mistaken it for a tantrum saying "oh ur too old to be throwing tantrums" but I can't control it and the whole process is exhausting leaving me feeling embarrassed. I try and avoid my triggers bc I don't want the same thing happen
I’ve been a bit absent lately.
Truth is…
I haven’t been okay.
I don’t always know how to say that out loud,
So I just disappear for a while.
Not because I don’t care,
but because everything feels like too much and I don’t want to be “too much” for anyone else.
So this is me saying hi I’m not okay.
@socoolrobyna Realll I just titrated from 30mg to 50mg now after spending a week on 30mg and omgggg I have never been so productive and that motivation actually went up too and functioning got so much better
@KeruboSk Constant masking and being constantly told negative things such as 'you talk too much why cant you ever be quiet' really has an effect on the sparkle.
@ADHDForReal Had this situation especially with calls so I just resort to typing at this point. Also had this situation during my project where people didn't raise their hands up they just spoke naturally in turn and I just stayed quiet because of struggles.
Anyway I learned yesterday that ppl with ADHD and/or autism often have really really REALLY strong senses of justice and fairness. So now I know why they react so strongly when ppl do things that are shitty. Don't do shitty things, guys! You'll stress out the ADHD/autistic folks!
A lot of autistic kids don’t struggle because they aren’t trying.
They struggle because they are trying constantly.

Managing sensory overload.
Neurodivergent exhaustion doesn’t go away with rest. It goes away when you finally get time that belongs completely to you — no demands, no access, no one needing anything.
