@clairez62351 @CaylyZ @Leeonie_2 The people the media shows are simply extremists, simply making their own interpretations of the quran and not following it correctly. And in addition, these people are only a small portion, and the "bad apples". Islam praises women and they are put to such a high status.
@NoBadHombre @machine_you @leeonie_1 I dug some more and I found this if you still aren't satisfied :/ I'm not a scholar and any sort of scientist so sorry.
@NoBadHombre @machine_you @leeonie_1 Dig into it more and do research? I'm just a random Muslim on 'X', if you aren't satisfied with my answer, look into it more, I'm fallible and I don't know as much as want to.
@NoBadHombre@leeonie_1 We don't know. Like I said, it was a miracle, pretty hard to prove if it can be proved at all. It was an event that occurred that was meant to tell the pagans in mecca to stop arguing with the Prophet. Again, like I said, I can't prove it, as it's a miracle.
@NoBadHombre@leeonie_1 It's not something that can be necessarily proven by science, it is a miracle, miraculous. But like I said, the people of the town asked travellers coming to the city to confirm the moon splitting, and they indeed confirmed it. Hoped my limited knowledge helped explain some stuff
@NoBadHombre@leeonie_1 6. This Ayah is referring to a miracle of the Prophet, in which he split the moon in half, and then returned it. The pagans of mecca believed it to be magic that only they could see so they asked people who later arrive after travel if they saw it, and they confirmed it.
@NoBadHombre@leeonie_1 4. Doesn't even mention the Earth?? "The sun and the moon ˹travel˺ with precision." That's the translation no mention of Earth.
5."Have We not made the earth as a bed", means that it is spread out and prepared for you and for your benefit, so that you can cultivate it,...
@NoBadHombre@leeonie_1 2. It's an analogy, if you went to the coast and watch the sun set, it would look like the sun is setting in the water (there's also some context concerning this)
3. its "created humans from a clinging clot." refers to the embryo, which resembles a leech
@NoBadHombre@leeonie_1 1. "Testes and ovaries are formed in the abdomen of the fetus during the first weeks of pregnancy, before descending to their permanent place in the pelvis. Both are sustained by arteries originating between the backbone and the ribcage."
@Leeonie_2 "he found it setting in a spring of Hami'ah) meaning, he saw the sun as if it were setting in the ocean. This is something which everyone who goes to the coast can see: it looks as if the sun is setting into the sea but in fact it never leaves its path in which it is fixed.
@leeonie_1 The well the narration is referring to has a great amount of water and it is running water, which means it can't become impure unless a great amount of impurity changes its smell, taste, or color. Hadith Explanation: https://t.co/8KvGgNzzS7
