If you can move the camera, per eye VR is just a few steps away & 6dof still in the works.
π Big thank you to @elliotttate1 we're going to work together to deliver the optimal VRMod for Forza Horizon 6. Honestly if it wasn't for his help over the last few days I'd be hill climbing for at least another week.
Stay tuned, and join the @Flat2VR community.
They should never have changed the name to Meta from Oculus. They should never of walked away from PCVR. They destroyed something epic getting rid of Oculus Home. They killed Ready at Dawn. The Metaverse is now a meme. Their conclusions are flawed and now Iβm sitting back waiting to see what will be the next knee jerk reaction they get into. They might even fully walk away. Same with Sony and PSVR2. Great product but overpriced at launch and they couldnβt be arsed to play their strongest hand and thatβs bringing more of their own IPs to their own headset. People think vr has failed when I would argue itβs the radical decision makers and half arsed attempts who failed vr. Valve releasing Steam Frame has put some wind back in my sails for virtual realities future, but they too might not go all in. They could invest in software or help vr developers make great games (maybe they areπ€·ββοΈ) but thereβs also the chance they will drop expensive hardware and sit back to see what happens and that might not move the needle enough. Iβm optimistic for its future because I believe virtual reality is the most immersive technology for entertainment. Maybe we are too early but when you look at the list of speed bumps we werenβt JUST early, thereβs been a lot of very expensive mistakes along the way and weβve lost a lot of good people too. I have no idea what the future holds but Iβm here till itβs end.
There was a time when Meta was funding big VR games like Batman Arkham VR and Deadpool VR as 'system sellers'. But Meta has concluded that that polished single-player VR games don't have the pull they once did. So what's the new 'system seller' then that Meta could invest in to draw crowds?
In my endeavours to support indie vr games I found a game called DustCrow. Itβs a space salvage game made by one guy who was a pro Echo VR player. Super early but itβs got serious promiseπ
