@reduzio Do we have any documentation on the differences between Godot and other major engines? Unity users might want to know there's no deferred renderer or stencil buffers, for instance

I realised that the best part of my medieval combat game was the combat. Adding RTS elements greatly diminished that, so I'm removing them again. Maybe I'll be able to show some cool stuff again soon
@TheJackyMartin It's a hobby. If I end up making money with it, that's nice. But as soon as I start collaborating, it becomes a thing I have to do, instead of a thing I do whenever I feel like it.
It's #WipWednesday today, so here's a (buggy) #WIP#indiegame I'm working on using #GodotEngine.
Shining Armor (working title) is a third person #Action#RTS with units that should fight in formation.
As you can see, they don't stay in formation yet. π

I've been trying a few different obstacle avoidance algorithms, and ended up on a very simple custom one.
Using #GodotEngine's built-in navigation.

@DahoonStudios I actually considered writing some sort of method that tries to match units by distance so they would all arrive at the same time, but I kind of like the fact that it looks a bit messy. It seems to fit the game better π
The first #RTS elements are taking shape. Squads will now spawn in formations. Here's some screenshots of box and wedge formation.
The guys with spears are supposed to be archers by the way. It's a #WIP π
