I don't get dropping at X-2 at a Skirmish. You already reserved the afternoon to play cards with the boys. Is prizing that much of a factor for people?
RQs are different cause you might switch to a higher EV event, so you're still playing RB, just a different bracket.
@Liryns They're attacking the battlefield, you show up to defend it, just a couple seconds late to the attack :D
Except if you don't show up, they're not actually attacking the battlefield (for assault and stuff), they just kinda showed up.
Serious pet peeve of mine with the official Riftbound website.
The first link to tournament rules on Google is not to the up to date page. It's to the first iteration from last year, which has a small addendum that it's not up to date
Please, please de-index the old versions

@BlaqNeon Riftdecks has no decks over 10% representation across all available events, so metal or no metal, that's the format.
Besides, "games only good because of the developers good decisions" is something I can be okay with.
New video on how I formation applies to Riftbound play. Why it matters, how to gain as much of it as you can, use it effectively and prevent the opponent from doing the same.
Enjoy!

@SeraphicLaw86@MillThat Current competitors for A tier include:
- birthing pod but Riftbound
- kinda Tron?
- self bounce control
- my commander has heroic get +1/+1 and I run a thousand combat tricks
- dimir midrange
- whatever Azir is. White weenie with equipment and counterspells?
There's variety.
@BasedDeckDept Two arguments that resonated with me and I'd love to know your opinion on:
1. โ๏ธhomogenizes Orange legend deckbuilding. Best of Lee & Kha being Aurora is a bummer.
2. Power differential betweenโ๏ธ's best and worst draws is massive and more of a decider of matches than decisions.
@rjtriedtotweet For players who could genuinely hope for a top8 spot if they played bdif but would rather go 9-3 and get a metal, I think it's kinda like berserking in online chess. You play at a handicap for likely bigger EV.
Worth it for a more varied meta and fun matches to see on stream.
