@CountessCassi @Reckless_Attack I feel the same way about "species" as some of the other folks in here -- it feels too sci-fi, or biological. I just posted a poll a little bit ago: what do you think about "peoples"? As in, "gnomish peoples" or similar? But yeah, otherwise: ancestry or lineage for me.

A lot of talk about "race" becoming "species" in the new #DnD playtest, and whether or not "species" is the right move. A lot of folks seem to like PF's "heritage" or "ancestry," but obviously D&D can't use those.

What about "peoples"? As in, "the peoples of D&D"?
