Sega Rally 2 (1998) - Arcade

After getting in some more practice, I finally got the Riviera stage with the Stratos!
SR2 arcade strikes a perfect balance between difficulty and fun for me, each time I fail I think "I can do it with ONE MORE TRY". The graphics and music help too!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998)

Ocarina of Time gets a perfect 5 star review in CVG #206 (Jan 1999).
One of the most beloved games of the era, this game combined innovative gameplay, gorgeous aesthetics and a real sense of adventure.

R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) - PlayStation

This is one of those games that I only discovered very recently, thanks to doing this blog. I'm so glad I did, as it's a fantastic racing game with great gameplay, beautiful graphics and an amazing soundtrack that rivals the best!

Daytona USA 2: Battle on the Edge (1998) - Arcade

Spotted this classic Model 3 Sega Racing cabinet in the wild!
The sequel to the hugely successful Daytona USA, Daytona USA 2 continued the legacy of red-hot racing action and amazing graphics and music.

'98 is also an amazing fighting game.
