This dog's name was Gunner. My uncle brought him back from WW2. He was raised and slept under my uncle's anti- aircraft gun. The gun crew shared their
rations to feed him. By the time he was 18 months old, my uncle said he would stand up and look at the sky. If he laid back down they knew all was ok. If he growled
and put his hackles up they got at the ready. He knew the sound of the German aircraft and my uncle said he
never got it wrong. He said Gunner was better than any early warning system. I'm probably the only one left in the family that knows that story now, so I thought I'd tell it before it's lost forever, like many stories must be from that time. Thanks for reading it.
Forget the live-action thing. Watch the all-time greatest telling of the Snow White story: the insane Betty Boop version from 1933.
Entirely animated by one man... the great Roland Crandall.
@ByJoeCapozzi@RDCstadium@stltoday@Cardinals@STOnline Interesting piece.
in Dec 2010, I had a great 2-3 minute chat with Drew Barrymore at the drive-thru window at my Sbux in ATX. She was lovely & sincere just as you‘d hope. A thrill.
I sent her a little note with some comments on her Astrology Chart. It got sent back to me.😌
Me in a Simpson style by Jericho Govea aged 10. He's the son of one of our dear mate, Mr. Kelly Stoltz's friends, Love it. Here he is playing Interstellar Overdrive with his buddies, bloody amazing! Those San Franciscan sons know where it's at.
In 1968, Sidney Poitier was at a press conference at the height of his career.
He made it very clear how he felt about the press.
Funny that I had to find this on a discarded film reel with 1000s of books, Microfiche and films.
Now you can see it.
5-year-old Londyn from Texas pulls up as a barrel racer! She and her horse Monkey had an impressive 18-second run at Jacksonville’s Black Rodeo USA You go girl!
This is culture.
@BenMank77 The furniture is clearly from
“The Dumpster Collection”.
Mis-matched pulls on your
cabinet always say “serenity”.
And nothing says comfort & charm
like broken, exposed wires and
a burned-out old TV with the
actual Yule Log from WPIX-TV.
