This is pretty shameful because this could have been a genuine celebration of the greatest player of all time, a way to honor esports and the legacy of League of Legends itself

and instead they turned it into nothing more than financially milking skin addicts and further degenerating the game-playerbase relationship

I thought the project was super cool but now because of the price point I see it as Riot abusing Faker's fanbase + legacy in a really grimy way. You could have made it $50 and while that would have been pushing the definition of "micro-transaction" we still would have bought it.
