The GammaTile team is pleased to announce the interim results of the Phase 3 Randomized Controlled Trial, which were recently presented at the 2025 Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting.
The study found that GammaTile reduced the risk of tumor recurrence or death by more than 50% compared to standard of care (surgery followed by delayed stereotactic radiation). Importantly, these gains were achieved without any increase in treatment-related side effects, reinforcing the safety and efficacy of immediate, targeted radiation delivered at surgery.(1)
The findings represent a significant step forward in brain metastasis care and highlight the growing impact of GammaTile in improving patient outcomes. Together, we’re changing what’s possible for patients with brain tumors, delivering immediate radiation when and where it is needed most.

NEW DATA
New randomized, multicenter ROADS Trial Phase 3 Results — presented today in a late-breaking abstract at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting — demonstrate that surgery with GammaTile significantly improves upon the current standard of care in patients with newly diagnosed brain metastases.
The study demonstrated that GammaTile cesium-131 collagen tile-based radiation therapy (TBRT), implanted directly into the tumor site during surgery, resulted in dramatically lower rates of tumor regrowth, a superior likelihood of living longer without recurrence, and significantly improved overall survival compared to standard stereotactic radiation therapy (SRT).
These findings highlight the value of immediate, targeted radiation therapy and collaborative clinical research in advancing care for patients with newly diagnosed operable brain metastases.

In this prospective, multi-center observational study demonstrates that resection and GammaTile for aggressive, recurrent meningiomas resulted in encouraging local control and low adverse event rate.
Specifically, the study found that for all Grades combined, local control at 6, 12, and 15 months were 94.4%, 78.3%, and 67.0%. These findings represent a meaningful step forward and a promising approach in the treatment of recurrent meningioma.

“The ability to deliver immediate, localized radiation therapy at the time of surgery helps to avoid delays, reduces reliance on post-operative radiosurgery, and mitigates the overall cumulative toxicity,” says Radiation Oncologist Rupesh Kotecha, MD.
In this prospective, multi-institutional study, Dr. Kotecha examined the efficacy of GammaTile for the management of patients with recurrent brain metastases. The analysis demonstrated encouraging outcomes with GammaTile for treating previously irradiated, recurrent brain metastases.
