Tarzan Boy is the biggest hit of the Italian band Baltimora, a studio project created by producer Maurizio Bassi in 1985. The face of the band was the charismatic Irish dancer Jimmy McShane, who did all the mime and choreography at the shows (he also sang the tracks in the studio). The song became one of the biggest one-hit wonders of the 80s, reached the top 10 in several countries and helped popularize the italo-disco style outside Italy. Jimmy McShane never hid his homosexuality and, unfortunately, died in 1995 of complications related to AIDS.
“One More Time” was released in 2000 as the lead single from Daft Punk's second studio album, Discovery (2001). The duo initially hesitated over the track because its polished, melodic sound felt unusually pop-oriented compared with their earlier work, but they ultimately embraced it and turned it into one of their biggest international successes. The song reached No. 1 in France and the US Dance chart and peaked at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart.
The music video for “One More Time” forms the opening chapter of Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem (2003), an animated feature built around all 14 tracks from Discovery. Created by Daft Punk in collaboration with manga and anime legend Leiji Matsumoto and produced by Toei Animation, the film was directed by Kazuhisa Takenouchi and uses the album's songs as an integral part of its narrative with virtually no conventional dialogue.

In 1985, an unknown band called Guns N' Roses played at a party for the Theta Xi fraternity at UCLA in exchange for thirty dollars and a case of beer. At that modest concert, they even performed the song “Welcome to the Jungle” twice.
Years later, they releasedAppetite For Destruction, an album that sold millions of copies worldwide and catapulted them to become one of the biggest rock bands on the planet.
By 1989, they were already filling arenas, and shortly thereafter, they were packing stadiums. Without a doubt, that case of beer from their early days must have tasted like glory.
Don Cherry and Frank Zappa collaborated live on October 3, 1968, during a performance by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark.
