O rite, was so caught up meming about ep 9 being ch38, I forgor how I also thought the playground mound can also b the parallel scene 2 test to my prev theory regarding Lara hesitating right b4 kissing the prince & potentially Luca cuz she’s always been gay & can’t go thru w/ it.

I’m going down this 1 path of interpretation while thinking about what triggers Lara’s transformation back into a mermaid where I think the reason Lara turned back right b4 kissing the prince might have been cuz her heart wavered at that moment.
