@MacIntoshEDU Two things. 1. They *announced* it in 2023, we've had some games that were announced 5 years ago that still haven't come out. I don't think the game even was that far in development at that point
2. 3 years is really not out of the ordinary long at this point lol

@PGenkie @DiscussingFilm Yeah I get they've not been GOOD, but I understand why from a filmmakers perspective why it wouldn't be interesting to rethread characters and stories already done before. To me I find the idea of a story set in the universe without being trapped by canon way more interesting.

Because you can't have a Mr. X type characted in your movie if he has no reasons to be there, or no explanations given for him. You have to dedicate film time to that, and that probably takes away from what he wants to do.

@RealEarthSmoker That's why I said more or less. I think he wants to focus on the more grounded concept of a dude trying to survive Raccoon City. I think he just wants to keep the plot as simple as possible.
