@GHShuffle That guy. Who cares what other people are thinking about his interpretation or why it's interpreted that why. You don't see Latino people up in arms about speedy Gonzales and he actually has a ton a stereotypes incorporated into his character.
@GHShuffle I think it's insane that the only people that have to make thinkpieces on why a character is like them is POC people. Knuckles isn't associated with negative stereotypes or rap music, that's not why people claim him. It's the same reason we claim piccolo. Because he really is
@Danny8bit @SirL0serX It's not though. And one Google search of the definition gives you a character description of Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic doesn't act in the interest of good and evil. He acts in his own interest. If you interpret him as a hero, that's fine.
@Danny8bit @SirL0serX And that allows Sonic narratively to be the bad guy. Which is what alot of people like. He can be chaotic good to US. But narratively you can't be chaotic good if nobody thinks you have their best interests in mind in the first place
@Danny8bit @SirL0serX He's morally grey to everyone around him. Hell there's moments in IDW where Sonic gets in trouble for his questionable morality. But I think the issue is that you're thinking of morality as a binary, but it's not. Morality is in the context of who's holding it.
