You may remember Shay, who was rescued along with her siblings from a police station rooftop. After Alley Cat Allies coordinated the rescue and medical care, Shay was soon adopted...by the very same firefighter who climbed up and saved her! 🧑‍🚒

Today, months after her adoption, Mike--the firefighter--sent us an update on Shay. She goes by Brownie now and is all grown up! She spends carefree days enjoying meals, playing, and napping.

"Brownie is a sweet girl and always waiting for her Dad Mike to play with her and pet her. We're so glad we adopted beautiful, sweet Brownie. She makes our lives so happy," says Mike.
