Huge congratulations to cyclists Katie-George Dunlevy and our colleague Eve McCrystal who have done the nation proud claiming a silver medal in the B 3,000m individual pursuit at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
Remembering our fallen colleague D/Garda Jerry McCabe today, 25 years on. Brutally murdered while on duty in Adare, thoughts and prayers with Jerry’s wife Ann and family. @brendan1oc@gardarep@GardaReview
'This is a welcome outbreak of common sense but not a solution to the need for early vaccination for gardai' - GRA Interim General Secretary Philip McAnenly
Gardaí now allowed to accept surplus vaccines if offered by HSE (via @thejournal_ie) https://t.co/3ODqcdCnrq
My phone is on fire with messages of dismay from members. I used to think we got a raw deal because we couldn’t take industrial action but the military got vaccinated.
PROFESSIONAL POLICING AT ITS BEST: ☘️Congratulations to all DMR South Central Frontline Gardaí for their excellent work today in Dublin. Officers, such as Garda Frisby & Garda Davitt below, are the reason calm prevailed. Thank you one & all. #BackTheBlue ☘️
HEAR THEIR NAMES - AND THEN VACCINATE: Like so many Frontline Gardaí up & down the country, Gardaí Barry Duffy & Sarah Bracken were conducting checkpoints in Dublin yesterday. Now we must vaccinate all those who place themselves in daily danger for us all. #VaccinateTheFrontline
PAYING TRIBUTE TO FEMALE MEMBERS OF AGS: On International Women’s Day, the Garda Review is delighted to salute all female members past and present, who have made the organisation the modern police force it is today. Thank you. #MnáNahÉireann
REMEMBERING OUR FALLEN GARDAÍ: Today is INTERPOL International Day of Remembrance where tribute is paid to all police who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Our Gardaí too will not be forgotten. Thank you for paying the ultimate sacrifice. From us all. #AlwaysWithUs
COVID-SPREADERS: Today in Dublin, 23 rioters were arrested on an anti-lockdown ‘protest’ while 3 Gardaí were injured, with one in hospital. These rioters may be a laughable group of dunces but they are now a threat to all our health. Thank you Gardaí - you have our full support.
BRAINLESS: To the rioters who thought is was a great idea to attack Frontline Gardai today in Dublin to protest against lockdown, congratulations. Not only have you injured innocent Gardaí, you have now also contributed to the spread of Covid - meaning a longer lockdown. Genius.
