Beautiful blue skies today. Clearing leaves from the steep section of road near the garden, The leaves make this area extremely slippery and dangerous but leaving leaf mulch on the grass verges for a natural blanket for seeds, plants and insects over the cold winter months
Lovely afternoon in the garden planting daffodils in the sun and harvesting our Saffron Spice.
Saffron threads are the stigmas taken from the flower of the crocus sativus, a special variety of the crocus.
Saffron has long been used for its medicinal properties.
