One example I like to talk to students about in terms of growth mindset is learning to drive. It works well as they can all remember how hard it was starting to learn, and now when I drive it's (mainly) straightforward #coachingHE

I agree that perceptual positions techniques can be very effective. With the graduate I asked them what they would think if I had said that all of my previous jobs had been of no value to them .They said 'it would sound ridiculous'. #coachingHE

It's interesting to get people to say there limiting beliefs out loud, and then get them to ask themselves the question - are they true? are they really true? #coachingHE

I was speaking with a graduate recently who said that every job they'd had over the last 15 years had no value. We had a really interesting discussion about why she thought this in the context of limiting beliefs. #coachingHE #sdf coaching
