Year 9 students today handed in homework after reading a chapter of A Village in the Third Reich about Theodor Weissenberger. They engaged with the topic well and discussed how the Nazis were able to get away with the T4 euthanasia program. @UCL_Holocaust#BeaconSchool2223
Y9 students today were using work by Ilex Beller to investigate what life was like in a shtetl prior to WWII. We will be comparing this to other experiences to comprehend the diversity of Jewish life at this point. @UCL_Holocaust#BeaconSchool2223
So proud of all our students who are sending me their #lightthedarkness photos for Holocaust Memorial Day. They have listened and engaged so well with the stories they have heard this week. #Beaconschool2223#holocaustmemorialday
All Garibaldi students were provided with a candle and a slip of paper today on which they wrote the name of a Holocaust victim. They are going to light them tonight in remembrance #LightTheDarkness#HolocaustMemorialDay

Wonderful to share #HtFMeUs project with colleagues from @GaribaldiBeacon & @WestonRoadAcad today. We look forward to seeing where the project takes your students & how each school makes the #journey their own.
