@helloalaia Nice little notes on your receipt 😇 I loved waitressing, I only had a table once not tip me and it was a single man so it really didn’t matter. It’s more of the big tables/parties of like 6 people that matter.
@helloalaia Guess those people just weren’t good servers 😂 lol kidding, but not really. I mean usually when you are super attentive and patient as a server, the people you are serving will almost feel guilty for not tipping you correctly and thus feel more inclined to tip you and leave you
@helloalaia Around to the thought that the establishment should pay more to the servers I whole heartedly agree. I made $2.40 an hour aside from my tips. I was well aware of my wages haha but in other countries they don’t pay servers this low. It is definitely an issue here in the US.
@helloalaia When I worked as I server I worked my ass off for my tips. I didn’t expect people to just tip me because I was their server. That’s the biggest difference. Tip what you feel is appropriate, 18% or 20% and if they did awesome then more, if you have the means. But circling back
Can we normalize NOT asking why someone isn’t drinking alcohol? And not pressuring them into doing it? Some people enjoy being sober. Some people are going through things. Quite frankly none of it is your business anyways.
