The Midlands Media Tour also included Midlands State University's Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa Law School in Kwekwe. The law school which was commissioned by the President and Chancellor His Excellency Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa in 2025, is equipped with morden facilities designed to enhance legal education and improve the student learning experience.
The Law Library is one of the building's signature features with the Moot Court replicating the layout and atmosphere of a real courtroom, thereby providing students with practical advocacy and litigation training.
The building also features a modern terraced lecture theatre, lecture rooms, seminar rooms, boardroom, electronic resource centre, legal aid clinic, academic and administrative offices, elevators and supporting infrastructure.
The project has directly employed over 700 personnel during and after the construction phase across various professional, technical, skilled and semi-skilled disciplines. In addition, more than 200 employment opportunities have been created through subcontractors engaged on the project.

It was a profound honor to arrive in Knowe, Norton today to officially commission the Vineyard Assembly of the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe.
The Church remains a vital pillar of our nation, serving as a moral compass, fostering social cohesion, and driving community development. To further strengthen the Vineyard Assembly's ministry and expand their community outreach, I am pleased to have supported their construction efforts and to hand over a new 36-seater bus alongside additional ministry motor vehicles.
I am deeply touched by the warm reception and expressions of gratitude from the congregation and the broader Norton community. As a government, we remain unyielding in our commitment to supporting faith-based institutions. Together, we continue to build a morally upright, spiritually uplifted, and prosperous nation.

🇿🇼 Dinson Iron and Steel Company in Manhize is fast becoming one of Zimbabwe’s most significant industrial investments.
The US$1.5 billion integrated steel plant, a subsidiary of China’s Tsingshan Holding Group, began pig iron production in July 2024 and is targeting 1.2 million tonnes of steel annually.
Its blast furnaces and continuous casting lines are now operating at full capacity, producing steel billets and slabs. Dinson currently serves a market split of 60% local and 40% export, mainly within the SADC region, with priority placed on meeting domestic demand and reducing steel imports.

If someone is born with 2 different private parts, which sport do they partake in at school? Which toilet do they get in? What do we put on their birth certificates? If they are applying for a job, do they say they are make or female?
THIS IS GOOD ZIMBABWE: PLEASE DONT CONFUSE GAYS AND INTERSEX PEOPLE
This is commendable and insightful step by the Government of Zimbabwe.
It is vital to draw a clear, intelligent distinction here to clear up widespread public confusion: Intersex people are not homosexuals and legally recognizing them DOESNT mean we are saying Gays can now exist and be given rights in Zimbabwe. Pabatisisei ipapo!
Never confuse intersex conditions with homosexuality.
Homosexuality pertains to sexual attraction and conduct which is something Zimbabweans remain clear and firm in opposing. Intersex, by contrast, refers to naturally occurring biological variations in chromosomes, anatomy, or hormones that do not fit standard male or female binaries. It is not a choice, a lifestyle, or a social movement; it is an innate physical condition present from birth.
Because our legal administrative systems currently only recognise a rigid binary classification, intersex individuals face systemic barriers daily:
1. Inability to secure accurate birth certificates and national IDs.
2. Severe hurdles when applying for jobs, opening bank accounts, or enrolling in higher education due to document mismatches.
3. Constant humiliation in public spaces, including restrooms, and within healthcare systems.
Minister Edgar Moyo rightly noted that we must "live beyond culture" and adapt our statutes to reality. When an individual lacks legal recognition, they are effectively rendered invisible by the state through no fault of their own.
Addressing legal gaps for intersex citizens isn't an ideological compromise; it is a matter of administrative justice, medical clarity, and basic human dignity. Grounding legal reform in scientific truth while respecting national values is the right path forward.
