@brian_trollz@CashFlowPack@Trezor I'm not trying to gate keep, but self custody is not for them. We haven't made default security strong enough and normie friendly enough yet.
@PoliceThePolic1 No. The idiot carried his seed in his wallet. How fucking stupid do you have to be to hold that much in a single wallet and then carry the seed with you in something that could could easily lose?
@Coloradosearch1 Flock has been giving their shit out for free, which is the only reason they're everywhere. They will fail due to incompetence and the backlash. I fear a competitor will come in to eat their lunch with more low key products and a better plan for distribution, unfortunately.
People often assume that Bitcoin developers are loaded due to being early in Bitcoin. However, to work on improving something, you have to be sober enough to see weaknesses and issues with it. After your career is tied up in it, odds are you wonโt also bet the entire house.
@isabellasg3 To be fair, we haven't found the equilibrium of security vs convenience yet that makes Bitcoin self-custody safe for normies. So, I'm left saying that I can't recommend Bitcoin to non-technical people who are unwilling to learn at this time. It's a reasonable & responsible take.
After being into #Bitcoin for over a decade, I'm starting to think that Bitcoin will never reach its maximum potential because the balance between security and convenience will never find equilibrium due to the value it holds.
I'm okay with that. Stack wisely.
Why do people feel the need to blast their stupid takes on social media? Stupid thoughts and ideas being drowned out in a sea of stupid thoughts and ideas.
I'm tired. The internet isn't fun anymore.
