I credit so much of how I was raised and the conversations I got to have about queerness at a young age to who I am today. I mourn for the kids who won't get grow in that kind of accepting environment. We will not stop fighting.

I am a teenage girl.
I should not be terrified about how quickly I can get an iud before laws attack contraception.
Or contemplating if I should grow out my hair to pass as straight for safety reasons.
Or wondering if my moms will loose guardianship of my brother and I.

I shouldn't be thinking about how far I would need to travel from my college next school year to seek refuge in Canada.
Or worrying if I will need to move my friends and family in Florida up North.
Or planning for the loss of more of civil rights.
