I’m a better gardener than I was a pitcher. The only thing I enjoyed more than working my garden was probably protecting one of my teammates, taking pride in it and doing it right.
The young kid who got Kyle Branch’s HR ball in the championship gave it back to the family and the person who got Kolby’s from the semifinals contacted Rusty Branch to give it to him. 🥹
So both Branch boys’ final at-bats of year were homers and the family has both baseballs.
