NEW: 14-year-old Wyoming boy stabbed to death while protecting his girlfriend from two ski-masked teens.

Hero.

Robert Dean Maher is dead after being stabbed twice in the stomach at the Eastridge Mall in Casper, WY.

According to a friend, Maher's girlfriend called him, saying two males were following her and her friend around the mall.

When he arrived, 15-year-olds Dominique Antonio Richard Harris and Jarreth Joseflee Sabastian Plunkett allegedly stabbed Maher in the stomach with a stolen knife from Target.

The thugs were apparently hunting Maher's girlfriend because of an incident that happened a few weeks prior.

Maher had allegedly called the pair "freaks."

Plunkett and Harris said that Maher must "pay" for his comment in "blood debt" which is why they stabbed him.

According to the affidavit, Maher was trying to avoid the fight at the mall and was moving backwards when the teens attacked him.

Maher was beaten and slammed to the ground and was stabbed in the stomach.

He didn't even throw a single punch.

The off-duty cop had a pistol in his hand. The deputy pulled up and immediately killed the off-duty cop with no warning.
