Garrett students wore red today to kick off Red Ribbon Week!

Each day this week students will dress up based on a daily theme and learn about the importance of staying Drug and Alcohol Free as well as how to make good choices.

MPS will hold a free Back-to-School Resource Fair from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Eastdale Mall. There will be giveaways including free school supplies. Representatives from community agencies, organizations and MPS will be there to answer your questions.

It’s almost time to start back to school and @mps_ala will be providing basic schools supplies to start the school year. This is a one-time distribution, and parents will have to replenish these supplies as the school year progresses.
