Irony just hit a Democrat mayor’s household in New Jersey.

Sept. 2, about 7:30 a.m., Route 130 in North Brunswick. ICE stops a gold Acura during a targeted enforcement op. The driver stops, then floors it, runs the red light, and rear-ends a Tesla driven by Dr. Penelope Cohen, wife of East Brunswick Democrat Mayor Brad Cohen. He bails on foot. Agents catch him.

ICE stated that the illegal alien fled at high speed after verbal warnings and officer-safety concerns. Cohen went to the hospital with a leg injury. The driver was hospitalized too and is in federal custody facing removal.

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman’s first move was “Abolish ICE.” Not a word about the illegal alien who ran the light.

FAIR estimates put New Jersey at about 697,000 illegal aliens and a taxpayer hit near $5.27 billion a year.
