Had the pleasure of hosting @StJohnsBaseball for practice this week before the Super. Their first practice of the week, there was an 8y/o boy watching from the stands. Their head coach, while prepping for a super regional, went and asked the kid if he had his glove, and had him out there for the entire practice. He did all their defensive drills with them, and leaned on the turtle for BP. An experience of a lifetime for that kid. These 2 moments were awesome for those kids, and a reminder that it’s a kids game! While they didn’t have their best showing on the field, I’ll remember how they treated people while they were here, and that was awesome.

It's only fitting that St. John's Baseball clinched its first trip to Super Regionals since 2012 on June 1, known as "Jack Kaiser Day" in NYC. Kaiser was one of the Big East's founding members. First person to ever appear in CWS as a player and a coach.

Johnnies are 1 win away from Supers. Will play tomorrow against the winner of tonight’s elimination game between Florida State and Northern Illinois. Mike Hampton leading a remarkable story out of Queens after capturing their 11th Big East Tournament title last weekend.
