I humbly understand my journey is part of the larger immigrant story in Canada, that I am really grateful for all those who came before me, perhaps including yourself, your parents, grandparents and generations before them. You paved the way for me to be here.

I am especially filled with gratitude for the remarkable contribution that my ancestors made to Vancouver and Canada: their commitment, work ethic, optimism under adversity, fighting for their civil rights despite of being discriminated and most importantly, their love of Canada!

All these are in this museum. Chinese Canadian history and culture are important part of rich and diverse heritage in Canada and Vancouver. Emotional at the grand opening of @ccmuseumbc.
