Louisiana has now crossed 295,000 early votes, including 95,000 Black voters.

Black voters are accounting for roughly 32–33% of early turnout statewide, closely matching our share of Louisiana’s population.

Orleans Parish leads with 14,880 Black early voters, followed by East Baton Rouge with 12,703. Democrats have also cast more early ballots than Republicans statewide, 124,000 to 121,000.

There are still 837,000 registered Black voters statewide who haven’t voted early, and early voting continues through October 27.

Voting is a group project. I’ve done my part today. Check your parish numbers, make your voting plan, and encourage others to participate.

858,000 registered Black voters statewide have yet to cast an early ballot.

Early voting continues through Tuesday, October 27!

Alan Seabaugh said removing Northwestern State’s first Black president was his first order of business in the Louisiana Senate.

Now he wants to be Caddo Parish’s District Attorney. His own words tell voters exactly what his priorities have been.

Caddo Parish, early voting ends October 27. Make your voice heard don’t let this man become your District Attorney.

Black voter turnout is up across Louisiana, but we have a long way to go!

I’m breaking down the first-day early voting numbers parish by parish. Thousands of registered voters still haven’t cast their ballots.

From now until October 27, you can early vote from 8:30 AM to 6 PM.

Text 10 people and remind them to vote. Voting is a group project, and everybody has a part to play!

IT’S GAME TIME! 🗳️🔥

Early voting started TODAY, and voting is a group project. It’s PASS or FAIL, and the results will show up in our communities.

For the last six months, we’ve been knocking doors across East Baton Rouge Parish. Now it’s time to turn all that work into votes.

My ballot is posted, and I’ll be breaking down why I made my choices.

Polls close at 6 PM today. Text 10 people, make some calls, and remind folks to get out and vote.

We can talk about change all day, but this is our opportunity to participate in making it happen.

This is not a test. IT’S GAME TIME! LET’S GO TO WORK! 💪🏾

[Gary Chambers @GaryChambersJr]

Voting is a group project, and it’s a pass-or-fail exam!

The group that shows up in the largest numbers decides how our money is spent, what laws get passed, and how they’re enforced.

Early voting starts TODAY! I’m sharing my ballot so you know where I stand.

When we show up and vote right, we pass. When we don’t, we fail. And the results show up in our communities.

Don’t let your group down. GO VOTE! 🗳️

Let’s go to work.

Jace Boyd killed Danny Buckley in Baton Rouge in 2020, and despite multiple witnesses giving accounts that contradicted Boyd’s story, he was allowed to go home that night and remained free for five days.

District Attorney Hillar Moore was personally on the scene. He had an opportunity to hear what witnesses were saying and see the evidence firsthand.

This body camera footage raises serious questions about the decisions made that night and why Boyd wasn’t immediately arrested.

Six years later, the people of East Baton Rouge Parish still deserve answers.

If the District Attorney won’t answer tough questions about his record, how can we trust him to keep our community safe?

Jace Boyd got 18 months for the murder of Danny Buckley.

Early voting starts next Tuesday Oct. 20th.

Alan Seabaugh is running for District Attorney of Caddo Parish. For two decades in the Louisiana Legislature, he has NEVER voted for a congressional map that gives Black Louisianans two majority-Black districts.

Under oath, Seabaugh argued that creating two majority-Black congressional districts would violate the 14th Amendment.

Louisiana is 33% Black. We deserve fair representation, and Seabaugh’s own testimony tells you exactly where he stands on this issue.

Now he wants to become the chief prosecutor in a parish with a substantial Black population.

Caddo Parish, does his record on Black representation reflect the kind of leadership you expect from your next District Attorney?

A man who can find a way to vote for you, you should find a way to the polls to vote against him.

Keep what you’ve got in DA Stewart.

Early voting is October 20–27.

A 92-year-old man is dead, and serious questions need to be answered about how the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office handled the cases involving his son.

Larry Salisbury was allegedly beaten to death by his son, Bruce Salisbury, just months after Bruce was arrested for brutally attacking him in July.

Bruce had a history of domestic violence allegations, repeated protective order violations, and prior arrests. Yet he was back on the streets.

How did this happen? Who made the decisions that allowed him to return to the community? Could this tragedy have been prevented?

Hillar Moore keeps dodging the community, and nobody is holding his office accountable for the decisions being made. He’s refused to debate @ryankeiththompson and the press isn’t talking about it. Yet people continue to be impacted by the failures of his office.

You can vote for a new District Attorney because if this is experience in practicing law, we can do better.

Early voting is October 20–27.

Another night, another 500 doors knocked! 🦾

Everybody says they want change, but are you willing to put in the work to make it happen?

We need 50–60 people willing to commit some time over the next few weeks to help us elect @ryankeiththompson as District Attorney.

Hillar Moore won’t debate, won’t answer tough questions, and won’t show up to forums. After 18 years, it’s time for new leadership.

JOIN US TOMORROW from 1-2 at 700 N. 10th Street! Stop by campaign headquarters to pick up yard signs or push cards and help us spread the word. If you want to knock we will be rolling out at 4pm.

I’m not on the ballot, but I’m in these streets because I believe a safer, more just East Baton Rouge Parish is worth fighting for.

Who’s willing to put in some work? Let me know in the comments.

Change doesn’t just happen. We have to make it happen.

District Attorney Hillar Moore has time for Republican events and photo ops, including one with the mother of a teenager accused of spray-painting the N-word and white supremacist symbols on a Black family’s home. Yet he hasn’t participated in a single public forum hosted by Black community organizations to answer questions about his 18-year record.

Showing up at events where he can’t be questioned appears to be a campaign strategy—and some Black community members are helping him carry it out.

He’s supposed to be a Democrat, but he rarely speaks publicly on issues that align with his party. Meanwhile, he has appeared at Republican women’s events while skipping the Delta Sigma Theta forum. That’s disrespectful.

He says he’s accessible, but his comments are turned off. After 18 years, voters deserve a plan to improve the DA’s office—not just pictures.

Early voting is October 20–27. Election Day is November 3.

Reason #1500 why I love Baton Rouge.

Good brother saw us talking walking by and said “get them signs out that yard.” IKYK.

Met this good brother in Shreveport this weekend. He’s 30 years old and wasn’t registered to vote because he didn’t believe in politics.

After a real conversation about power, investment, and our communities, he agreed to register.

Sometimes you just have to have the conversation.

Another vote for Commisioner Watts (@stormyforshreveport) to become the next mayor of Shreveport.

We can’t hope change happens, we have to make change happen. 🦾

These men aren’t just talking about change — they’re showing up and knocking doors to make it happen.

We have an opportunity to elect @RKeithThompson as District Attorney of East Baton Rouge Parish and build a system where every community can expect safety and fairness.

We can complain about what needs to change, or we can get to work changing it.

The Democratic Party says it cares about the South, but too often the resources don’t match the rhetoric.

Meanwhile, we’re knocking thousands of doors, reaching millions online, and taking Civics for the People from Baton Rouge to Shreveport.

This work is happening because regular people support it.

The South got something to say. Support Civics for the People at the link in my bio. We all we got.

Dropped in my home church today with @ryankeiththompson and @elziealford4judge to encourage the saints to get out and vote early in a few weeks.

IFA is the first place I ever touched a microphone and talked to a room of people. Every season of my life the prayers of the faithful have carried me, from a baby to now. Always good to be home.

Thank you Apostle Johnson for making space to inform the People.

Also shoutout to Pastor @dannymdonaldson at Rose Hill for the hospitality at Rose Hill Church today.

And yall heard me, don’t let your ex pay the light bill 😂🦾

Shreveport pull up on me next Saturday for Civics for the People. This will be the first session in north Louisiana.

Hosted at Morning Star Baptist Church at 2p next Saturday September 26th, 5340 Jewella Ave.

Civics for the People is an interactive civic engagement workshop taught by yours truly. We break down how government, elections, and power actually work — and how we can use that knowledge to make change.

Click the link in my bio to register.

You know this is a people-powered event. It’s free because people like you help create a seat at the table for someone else to gain the knowledge.

If you believe in the work, click the link and make a contribution to help us create more seats at the table.
