@AlanJLSmith I buy those bars, which are a convenient snack, for about £1 each online.
You can't snack on raw steak or lobster. You need a kitchen, the time it takes to cook them, and do all the cleaning up afterwards.
Also only 20-30% of a lobster is actually edible.

@poetwithpace The average finish time at Exmouth parkrun, (137,524 finishes across 354 events) including all ages, genders, and the people that walk is 29:15. Other 5K events probably aren't much different, so I'd say that table is nonsense.

@CitiusMag The correct decision in my opinion. He was far too close and the chose to stay directly behind the car where the road was wide and straight. Also the guy on the top and the guy leaning out the window were part of Kiplimo's team, talking to him throughout.

@poetwithpace For me "feeling unwell all week" means either run it for fun, or DNS. I don't trust watch HRV, so it wouldn't influence my decision.

@letsrundotcom @jgault13 re. Kiplimo WR, I watched it all live. This is how close he was to the lead car for most of the race. Surely this can't be allowed? A terrible precedent if it is.

For example the Robin Williams mention is in a paragraph advising you to run in a group if possible to make your long runs more enjoyable.

Still defying the ageing process somehow.
In 2015 I tried and failed to break 1:45 in the Cardiff Half Marathon. Yesterday I broke 1:35 at The Goodwood Running Grand Prix Half Marathon.
8 years older, 10 mins faster!
