At the Texas Gigafactory, Tesla constructed a 1,355 foot covered tunnel, bored by the Boring company in just nine weeks, to move finished Cybertrucks directly from the production line to the outbound logistics area, safely crossing a major highway in the process.

The objective is simple and strategic: protect vehicles from weather exposure, eliminate unnecessary stops, and maintain continuous production flow.

By removing outdoor transfer and weather delays, the tunnel shortens delivery time, increases throughput, and reduces risk to finished vehicles before shipment.
