I should never have read The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre and Boys In The Valley by @PhilipFracassi as a double bill. Two of the most beautifully haunting novels I've ever read that gives dignity to characters who otherwise wouldnt receive it. Wonderful and wounding!

@cjtudor Yes Queen! I love The Chalk Man just as much as The Gathering but to see the progression of your confidence with settings, characterisation and plotting over the years has been phenomenal and not something anyone earns by taking shortcuts with AI. The outcome is artificial!

@BDisgusting I will never forget the first time I saw The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I was a teenager, up late, flicking through channels when I hit Channel 4 just as Mark Kermode came on to introduce the featured film. Well!! I was hooked! What a film!!
