We are devastated to learn of the passing of Kevin Keegan.

Kevin signed for the club in 1980 as the holder of the Ballon d’Or and brought great joy to fans at The Dell and across the football world.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

It was hardly crime of the century and we were heavily punished. Those in charge and others feel too heavily. That’s fine.

The selective morality of some other fans is baffling.

Not really clear on what the club are attempting to get out of this. Appreciate there are huge legal implications but this feels like a statement that doesn’t need to be made public.

Just take accountability. Make some decisions and start preparing for next season. #SaintsFC

The more I read on it the more angry I get. Not just at the club (although mostly at the club) but at the selective morality of those at the top in football in general. Rough day to be a #SaintsFC fan.

The club needs time to complete the internal investigation & should be given it.

But we absolutely must push the harshest punishment to those responsible.

Could argue this is the most important summer in the clubs history and those at the top need to be strong. #SaintsFC

What looked like it would be a great season is now a disgraceful season. And the fans suffer.

Embarrassed is an understatement.

As per usual fans are the ones who feel it the most. I’ve paid 1000’s following the club this season and last for absolute no return again.

I think the ‘does the punishment fit the crime’ argument is the only one we have.

Seems hugely excessive.

I’m not optimistic & expect the appeal to be waved away, but given the numbers involved and the potential time for this to run its course I’m interested to see. #SaintsFC

Ultimately, we have to face the consequences, but for me, the punishment is too harsh. You disagree and so does the EFL. That’s life

It’s not the same.

As I said I don’t expect us to be reinstated. But given the numbers involved I don’t 1/2
