🚨 Liverpool have made an initial enquiry about Bruno Guimarães but are not actively pursuing a deal for the Newcastle United midfielder.
The Reds held talks with the Brazilian's representatives, but no formal offer has followed and discussions have not progressed.
Arsenal are currently further ahead after submitting a valuation for Guimarães, while Newcastle remain determined to keep the midfielder.

🚨 Elliot Anderson may miss #England v #Panama with muscle tightness. 23yo midfielder’s glute issue unrelated to Man City move. Reece James ruled out of final #2026FIFAWorldCup group game by hamstring tweak; doubt for R32 too but not serious @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/gNCvAd7FWW
Like with DCL, sometimes a change of scenery or feeling like the main man at a new club, is all that a striker needs. If we can't get Toney and I assume he's too expensive, not sure anyone better than Delap is going to choose us over Brighton / Brentford / Bournemouth #EFC#UTFT
Liam Delap last summer everyone was made up we were after him this summer after a bad season with Chelsea nobody wants him. I’d take him on loan with an option looked good at Ipswich can’t really judge his time at Chelsea I don’t think
Group F is actually crazyy you finish 1st you face Morocco 🇲🇦 😭you finish second you have to face Brazil 🇧🇷 😭😂 and worst off you finish third you face France 🇫🇷 💔😭I’d rather finish fourth and just go home
🚨 Cape Verde qualify for the knockout phase on their World Cup debut after going unbeaten in Group H. An incredible story.
And Cape Verde now face defending champions Argentina in the R32.🇨🇻
Assuming 2nite goes ok, #England will have Senegal > Mexico > Brazil > Argentina > Final. I really don't hate that line up. Mexico have a great record at home but they won't park the bus. Brazil's central midfield is crap, Argies have 2 threats, big ones admittedly #FIFAWorldCup
Reece James is awaiting the results of a scan on a hamstring injury to determine how long he will be ruled out. Understand there are fears he could miss a significant portion of the knockout phase. With @JacobsBen for @talkSPORT
Excl: Hayden Hackney & agency-SEG are becoming frustrated with Middlesbrough.
At the start of the month Boro told Hackney they will not stand in his way of a move to Everton (still his number one choice) yet Middlesbrough are not sticking to one fee…1/2
Over 3 years have passed, and we’re still awaiting the verdict on Manchester City’s pending 115 financial breaches.
Signing Elliot Anderson for £130m will now take their spending to roughly £823m during that period.
Yep. Nothing to see here at all. Completely normal behaviour.
Everton are ready to move ahead of Crystal Palace in the chase for Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney.
The Toffees will go close to £20 million in straight cash while Palace value him at less but would throw David Ozoh into the deal.
