My thoughts (having only seen highlights)
- Uruguay played to their level (Brazil didn’t)
- Pramveer should not have been taken off. Yes the penalty was a little rash but he is young and it’s a friendly
- Thapa is best midfielder of this generation in India (said it for years)
- KJ should study body language of players after their 3rd goal went in - anyone who ‘gave up’ should be dropped
- team lost shape as goal tally rose
Everyone getting giddy over a pointless nutmeg by @sahal_samad and no one talking about the brilliance and vision of the subsequent pass (that was only slightly overcooked) Go and watch more football (preferably your local club) before posting social media SLOP! (General opinion @BluePilgrims not directed specifically at you)
“India’s number one problem is false pride. When a society becomes more interested in defending its image than fixing its problems, progress stops. Pride without self-reflection is not strength, it is denial.”
— Sabeer Bhatia, Founder of Hotmail
Not just in India, it's the same across the world!
Religion has been used time and again to 'otherise' and create enemies when there were none! Millions killed in the name. And still, they serve as the opium of the masses.
The thing I love about Smrt Stats is that it connects the scouting question to the actual evidence. Smrt Search lets you build highly specific player profiles and quickly identify potential targets, while Smrt Sequences lets you immediately examine the actions and moments behind the data — without wasting time scrolling through vague event categories trying to find the sequences you actually want.
You’re not just finding players — you’re finding the football that explains why they fit.
If you have any questions about @SmrtStats or want to see how it can fit into your scouting workflow, feel free to reach out to me.
“We don’t want to create a system where owners, at the strike of a button, are able to make decisions which can be quite drastic in terms of changing livelihoods altogether. We want to be in a situation where we are able to be a little bit more sustainable. If that requires a little bit more conservative pragmatism at this point in time, we will do that. Simple reason being that we can continue to see tomorrow.”

The clubs want to hear from the most important voice: fans.
Been assured that the voice/choice will be heard.

A month of 🗣️with broadcasters/partners - all necessary. But we realised we hadn't really talked to the people who actually show up every matchday: 🫵
What do you love about the ISL? What would you change?

One of the most important qualities of a football coach/manager is adaptability.⚽️
Football doesn’t unfold the same way every week. Different opponents, different players, different circumstances, every situation demands flexibility. The best coaches/managers don’t succeed because they’re obsessed with one idea; they succeed because they know when to adapt.
Unfortunately, some coaches/managers in Indian football🇮🇳⚽️ seem far better at adapting to social media algorithms than to the demands of football. They’re quick to chase online virality, build a personal brand, and project themselves as the ultimate authority, but when the game demands flexibility, that confidence suddenly disappears.
If you’re unwilling to work within a different footballing approach for the development of young players, but have no problem constantly reinventing your online image, it raises an uncomfortable question about where your priorities truly lie.

People underestimate how much football business runs on trust and overestimate how much it runs on agents and introductions. Sidestep trust on day one, and you've already lost the deal before it's even on the table. The game isn't just played on the pitch; it's played in boardrooms, handshakes, and reputations. Agents come and go. Introductions fade. Trust is the only currency that compounds. Burn it, and don't be surprised when doors stay shut. Players need to learn this early. The ones who do will go far. The ones who don't will wonder why opportunities never come knocking. #IndianFootball
Hard to religiously follow Indian football. We should just be thankful casuals, celebs & podcasters even talk about it during the WC. After all, we're a country where the Sports Minister struggles to read our top club names off a piece of paper. 😿
With the FIFA World Cup 2026 on and teams like Haiti, Cape Verde leaving their mark on the biggest stage, a question persists!
If they can, why not India?
@7negiashish answers! A tainted federation with misplaced priorities and administrative disasters have added to the misery!
